The Samson Trail is where Canada’s oldest locomotive the Samson ran. It has been built along old rail line beds that once ran through the town, today you can run, walk or bike along these trails, on both the East and West Sides of New Glasgow’s scenic riverfront.

All trails are pet friendly and open year-round with conveniently located washroom facilities and parking. Built on Canada’s oldest iron railroad bed and named in honor of the historic Samson locomotive.
